  • The myth of anti-racism in British mental health care
Healing Justice LDNDate: Tuesday 22nd July
Time: 6.00–8.30pm, onlineWhat Palestine reveals about the politics and racism of British mental health care
Join us as we launch a new research project exploring how Palestinian solidarity is silenced, disciplined or managed in British mental health care. We will share the sensitive and underrepresented stories that demonstrate racism’s presence inside our health care institutions and the therapy room – and why we need to clearly see and name it.As we co-create a future with life-affirming health and healing infrastructures, it is our responsibility to witness the harms in our existing systems. This project bridges the interpersonal with the systemic while collapsing the idea of neutral or apolitical care infrastructures. Mental health care is political. We need to re-politicise how antiracism is practiced in our health and healing spaces.
